Thai Metal Packaging Association (TMPA) - Mr. Pairojana Meethawee, President, together with TMPA’s committees join Design for Recycling Workshop which be held by Collaboration of TIPMSE-PCD-GIZ-PETROMAT on September 24, 2026.
This workshop, the Phase 2 draft guidelines, cover 5 types of packaging: glass packaging for food and beverage products, paper boxes, aluminum cans, steel cans, and beverage carton packaging for food and beverages. The drafting process began in collaboration with the private sector in 2024, aiming to create design guidelines consistent with Thailand's production, usage, and recycling systems. This initiative is part of the efforts to address packaging management at the source, aiming to make design focus more on reusability and recyclability.

Thanks to Mr. Varoon Varanyanond, industrial Partnership Advisor of PETROMAT, Chulalongkorn University, presented the DfR development guidelines in the context of Thailand.
Thanks to Mr. Soonthorn Yongviboonsiri, Board Director overseeing Eco-design at TIPMSE, ESG, Safety and Compliance Director, SCGP, presented the background and importance of the DfR concept, past operations by the private sector, and guidelines for driving DfR packaging standards forward in collaboration with relevant agencies.
